For 30 years now, Alexander Ries has been responsible for the Fuhrmann company’s exports of steel sideboards. Customer care and support are underscored by regular visits and technical advice wherever needed. Innovations are highlighted with the display of steel sideboards at national and international trade fairs – for details, please refer to our “News” page.
Allocating the right sideboards, along with detailed designs, is an important element in our extensive experience. Customers benefit from a specific solution for the use of steel sideboards that is tailored to the intended application of the vehicles concerned and the required strength and stability of the bodywork.

IAA Commercial Vehicles – 2024

30 years of Ries vehicle technology

2021 is a year to celebrate, as an anniversary of the collaboration with Fuhrmann is on the calendar. 30 YEARS “Ries-Fahrzeugtechnik” and responsible for the sale of steel side walls from Fuhrmann. During these years the market and the requirements of our customers changed considerably. Thanks to a large number of technical improvements, Fuhrmann remains the engine of innovation in the area of steel drop sides. A big step was the change in welding technology – towards laser welding. In retrospect, the time has passed quickly, but the motivation and also the drive to meet all customer requirements and to incorporate the new technical requirements into the development of the steel drop sides remains.
Unfortunately, the current situation does not allow regular visits to our customers as usual. However, we are always available and are available for advice and action (and if you comply with the contact regulations), including visits. Unfortunately, information to our customers is not given at trade fairs. We hope that this will change again soon and that we can get back to business as usual.
