Production Program
On an up-to-date roll-profiling equipment we manufacture steel sideboards of high quality. The top and bottom hollow profiles are tightly closed by laser welding and give the enormous strength of the sideboards.
The profiles are produced in a thickness of 1,25 up to 2,5 mm, in steel qualities of S235 up to QSTE 500 and in a production length of 0,5 to 13,5 m’s with +/- 1mm tolerance.
For special targeted applications profiles are produced from galvanized material, high grade steel and V2A / V4A as special program.

The extensive program of steel sideboards covers 90 different types within the range of heights from 300 to max. 1000 mm.
On request the steel sideboards can be supplied with terminal closings in the form of continuously welded on terminal ledges or terminal angles. The connections are accurately placed by means of welding robots. The next processing step is to equip the steel sideboards with locks, hinges and/or all other necessary construction parts done on a fully automatic robot plant.

Operational Area
FUHRMANN panels are specially designed for use on trucks and trailers, personal car trailers and tippers for the agricultural industry.
In close co-operation with the guiding vehicle construction companies the types are further developed towards the respective requirements in accordance with the guidelines of the ISO 9001.

Fuhrmann Laser Welding – Technology
FUHRMANN presents the laser-welded steel sideboard as it’s newest development. The process was developed in order to be able to comply with the rising quality requirements of our customers.

Fuhrmann CW Continous – Welded
As product innovation FUHRMANN offers the 100 % continuous laser-welding on the hollow profiles.
Apart from a substantial strength increase the continuous laser welding offers optimal protection against corrosion because of hermetically locked hollow profiles. The expenditure for a high quality long lasting anti-corrosion protection and/or additional sealing for the prevention of gap-corrosion is no longer necessary.
This translates into savings in production costs as well as increased quality and integrity.
